The distinctiveness of Twister catcher Wick Udy goes beyond his unique name. Like his teammates, Udy is chasing a possible career in professional baseball. But he is also playing for the future of his family. His wife, Kassi, is home in Utah six months pregnant with their first child, a little girl, due in October. Game 22: Twisters 6, West Warwick 0 TORRINGTON, July 7, 2002 -- Pitcher Shane Kelley, who lasted just over an inning in his last start against Manchester on July 2, allowed just one hit over 8 2/3 innings to lead the Twisters (11-11) past slumping Riverpoint Royals of West Warwick, R.I., 6-0. Kelley, who struck out five batters, only allowed a leadoff single to Riverpoint third baseman John Blaze in the second inning. Ladd Hall came on in relief in the ninth to record the final two outs of the game.
It was the first time in team history that the Twisters had allowed only one hit. Justin Parker did throw a no-hitter against Middletown in 2000.
